Rural Alaska Honors Institute: March 1.

The Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) is a six-week summer bridging program that assists students in making the academic and social transition between high school and college. RAHI is for college-bound juniors and seniors who are willing to work hard and learn first-hand what it takes to succeed in college. Dates are May 28-July 12. Click here for more information. Deadline is March 1st.

Students come from all over Alaska. Here are the minimum requirements:

Alaska Native or rural Alaskan
High school junior or senior
3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Able to read at or above grade level
Committed to earning a college degree

Juniors-Spring is a great time to take the ACT and SAT. Seniors-remember that to qualify for the Alaska Performance Scholarship, you must have a qualifying ACT or SAT score. Click here to register online for the ACT. Click here to register online for the SAT.
