Copper River School District Graduation Requirements

To be eligible for a high school diploma in the CRSD, a student must earn 23.5 credits over the course of their high school career. A limited number of high school credits may be earned during a student's 8th grade year, per CRSD Board Policy. Please note that course TITLES may vary from those listed below. Check with your counselor or principal to ensure you are registering for the correct classes!
ENGLISH Credits: 4.0

  • Additional special-topics courses are available for English credit and apply towards graduation
MATH Credits: 3.5
  • Algebra I (1.0)

  • A variety of science classes are available in the CRSD and online. 
  • Students may opt to replace 1.0 science credit with a CTE credit.

Alaska Performance Scholarship Eligibility

Qualifying for the Alaska Performance Scholarship requires that you take specific classes and earn additional credits in certain content areas, depending on the APS Track you pursue. Remember: The APS can provide you with guaranteed scholarship money IF you take the right classes in the right content areas...and you MUST start planning for APS eligibility during your first year of high school! Talk with your counselor or principal, and review the APS award levels and requirements to ensure that you qualify!
