I'd like to thank Krystal Crawford from the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education for coming to the Copper River Valley and giving our students and parents a great presentation last week on how to finance education after high school. In case you couldn't make it, her presentation is attached below. And, she said that anyone with questions should please contact her.
Please join us on Wednesday, January 13th at 630 pm for an informative presentation addressing all aspects of financial aid. Krystal Crawford, Community Outreach Supervisor with the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education, will share important dates, deadlines, and details to prepare you for the financial aid process. Topics will include grants, scholarships, student loans, FAFSA, and free online resources to help find funding for your child’s postsecondary education. After the presentation, seniors and their families are invited to complete the FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is an important first step in finding funding for postsecondary education. Families wanting to complete the FAFSA are encouraged to bring their 2015 tax information to this event. Questions are welcomed and encouraged! If you would like to connect with Krystal before this event, please email her at [email protected].
Presentation will be held at Glennallen School, room 207. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend, but parents of high school students of any grade level are welcome. Seniors-the CVEA scholarship is now available. Some changes were made to their scholarship application, so please read carefully. Click here to go to the application. Note that it is due at 5 pm on Monday, February 1st.
