AIA Alaska-A Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is sponsoring a design competition open to students in grades 9-12. Below you will find details on the competition, including cash prizes. Due April 17th. The American Indian College Fund has a series of four handbooks that provide comprehensive information about applying and paying for college. An industrial trades fair is being held at the Murdock Center of the Alaska Bible College Campus on Monday, October 13th from 10 am to 3 pm. It is being organized by Ahtna, Inc along with Copper River Native Association. We are encouraging students in grades 11 and 12 that want to learn more about opportunities in the trades to attend.

The Alaska Rural Water Association (ARWA) is inviting teachers throughout Alaska to enter student’s artwork in ARWA’s 2014 Water Conservation Poster Contest. The contest is open to all Alaska public and private school K – 8th graders. Individual winners will receive $100 and earn supplies for their class.

Students ages 15-18: Here are a couple of summer job opportunities with the Ahtna Cultural Center and National Park Service. Apply soon as the deadline is May 21st! Alaska Business Week (ABW) is a one-week summer program teaching the basic principles of private sector business to Alaskan high school students. Dates are July 27-August 2.
