Juniors and Seniors: Here is a course opportunity for 2nd semester.
The Introduction to Mining Occupations and Operations course that we offer is an exploratory course for high school juniors
and seniors. Through presentations by mining personnel and Alaska state agency representatives we explore the possibility
of careers in the mining industry, and what is required to attain those careers, in an interactive class with the students.
The cost to the students is $44.00 and they will earn 3 UAS credits upon successful completion of the course.
They may also gain employment in an industry that has an average wage of $89,000.00 per year.
