Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors may enroll in SCAD Summer Seminars, a program designed to facilitate students' exploration of a variety of creative disciplines across the SCAD curriculum. These workshops are available to residential or commuting students and offer opportunities to meet other talented teens from around the world and experience a taste of university life under the guidance of SCAD professors and graduate students. The Alaska Summer Research Academy (ASRA) offers engaging and in-depth experiences in science and engineering throughout the year. HS Action Plan for Freshmen
So, you're only in the 9th grade...but it's NEVER too early to start thinking about what will happen in your life after high school! Actually, if you haven't though at all about whether or not high school "matters," you're already behind the 8-ball. Beginning with the first semester of your 9th grade year, EVERYTHING matters: Your grades, the classes you take, the volunteer activities you participate in, the sports and clubs you're affiliated with...the all make a difference in the "cumulative you" that will be applying for scholarships, colleges, training programs, and jobs in a few short years.
