Slana, Alaska area summer job. Position involves working as a Fisheries Aide for the Tanada Creek weir project. All work will be performed under the supervision of a higher level co-worker. Duties include learning to: install and maintain a floating weir and underwater camera and recording system at a remote weir site, count sockeye and Chinook salmon from a video recording, accurately record data and enter on a spreadsheet, clean and repair the weir in fast and potentially hazardous water conditions.
