The Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation is offering two scholarships this year; $2,500 for an agriculture related course of study and a $1,000 unrestricted scholarship. Click here for additional information. Due March 21st.
The deadline for applications is March 21, 2018. This is a great apprenticeship opportunity for seniors. Whil our training is when the seniors are still in school, we do have a school to apprenticeship direct entry clause in our apprenticeship standards which allows us to take in seniors after they have graduated, All they need to do is fill out application, check then box, School-to-Apprenticeship. In 2018, the CVEA Community Foundation will offer one $1,000 General Scholarship, two $500 General Scholarships, and one Youth Rally Leadership Camp Scholarship in each district.
The General Scholarship is merit based; scores will be equally weighted among four categories: education, community involvement, future education/career goals, and financial need. This is the scholarship high school seniors should apply for. The deadline for submitting completed scholarship appication packets is 5 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018. The Copper River Basin Job Fair will be held at the American Legion Hall in Glennallen on January 17th from 10 am to 3 pm. Employers attending include: Ahtna, Inc.
